Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working in partnership with a Glasgow-based construction company in order to appoint a Management Accountant. Ideally, this role would suit a part-qualified or ‘Qualified By Experience’ accountant with industry experience. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to develop themselves by working closely alongside the Finance Director of a highly successful and rapidly growing Scottish business.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly Management Accounts
• Analysing the monthly financial results
• Bank and cash flow analysis
• Bank and Nominal reconciliations
• PAYE / CIS and VAT submissions
• Assisting in the creation of management reports for the Company Directors
• Auditing internal accounting processes and procedures
• Reporting to the Finance Director in all areas of finance

The Individual:

• Qualified, part-qualified or ‘Qualified By Experience’ Accountant
• Strong accounting systems and management reporting skills
• Has the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritise workload
• Has an enthusiasm for new projects alongside business-as-usual activity
• The ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders at all levels is essential
