Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with a well-established business to appoint a Management Accountant. This is a newly created role, providing an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the business as it embarks on the next phase of its growth journey.

The Management Accountant will help ensure accurate financial records are maintained, embed financial processes into business-as-usual activities and improve process integration within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present month-end management information packs to Directors
  • Support the Finance team by providing effective daily oversight of fixed assets, debtors, bank and creditor activities and associated financial records
  • Work with the Finance team to support the administration of billing schedules and sales orders, raise sales invoices and perform an effective credit control function
  • Support the Director with the delivery and integration of a purchase order system in line with the Group Strategic Plan
  • Assist the Finance Business Partner with quarterly marketing budget reconciliations to ensure alignment with stakeholders
  • Assist the Director with the preparation of a statutory year-end audit pack and financial statements
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ICAS / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience working in a finance team, with a background in nominal ledger maintenance and accounting record keeping
  • Knowledge and understanding of finance systems and reporting
  • Experience of building networks within an organisation
  • Good team player
  • Proficient in Excel
