Description

Rutherford Cross is working with a leading global drinks company on a fantastic opportunity to join the Group Accounting & Controls team. This role is central to maintaining a robust financial control environment across all business units, ensuring compliance and governance standards are met.

You’ll own the finance risk register, design and monitor global controls, and lead key month-end processes. Working closely with internal audit and senior stakeholders, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding financial integrity while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain a master list of finance controls, ensuring design and operational effectiveness
  • Develop and drive a global control framework, focusing on profit and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and integrity
  • Work with Business Unit Controllers to ensure consistent application of controls across all entities, including overseas operations
  • Lead the Control Assessment and Risk Evaluation (CARE) process and close identified gaps
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and external auditors to test and strengthen controls
  • Deliver key month-end processes (balance sheet, profit reconciliations, capital reporting) aligned to the Finance Calendar
  • Provide risk analysis and insights to identify trends and opportunities
  • Build strong relationships across finance teams to support compliance and reporting requirements
  • Oversee risk management frameworks, compliance calendars, and regulatory returns
  • Report monthly to Group Finance leadership on compliance and control issues
