Description

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be partnered with a global manufacturing business in the Central Belt to appoint the newly created role of Internal Controls Compliance Analyst.

This represents a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation with a genuinely global outlook, a focus on ESG and the transition to clean energy, and one which prioritises the wellbeing of its employees.

We are ideally looking to engage with newly/recently qualified individuals, from internal or external audit backgrounds in big 4/top-10 firms, who want to transition to a non-month-end focused position. We are alternatively happy to consider those who are PQ in practice and seeking the same, or those in industry who have internal control as part of a wider remit and want to focus their career in this area.

Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Group Finance team, you will:

  • Support the Group in meeting organisational objectives through the support of the internal control programmes
  • Provide oversight for internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) through partnering with management, business unit stakeholders and internal and external audit to ensure the programme is designed and operating effectively
  • Support business changes and strategic initiatives to ensure financial reporting risks are addressed through controls and process development
  • Improve and standardise the ICFR programme across the Group
  • Maintain ICFR documentation while supporting business units to maintain Risk and Controls Matrix (RACM) and other ICFR documentation
  • Be responsible for ensuring the completion of all quarterly/annual reporting requirements including disclosure signoffs, and Risk and Controls Matrix (RACM) signoffs
  • Have exposure to a wide range of senior stakeholders and complex projects across the business - opportunities like this don’t come along often
  • Strive for continuous improvement at all times, working with various stakeholders to improve systems and processes

Qualifications:
• ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA qualified chartered accountant (or plans to pursue this) with a Finance/Accounting/Audit background
