Description
Interim Technical Accountant job with a high-growth Renfrewshire based business for an initial 3-month period. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet and cash flow) and disclosure workings for annual accounts
- Supporting with group consolidation and year end journal entries
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and appropriate variance analysis
- Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts across the group
- Preparation of year-end balance sheet control accounts and supporting schedules
- Assisting with year-end audit queries and requests as part of the annual statutory audit fieldwork
- Performing operational reviews including but not limited to sales, purchases and payroll approvals
To apply, you will be a fully qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge and ideally, prior experience working within the finance function of a PLC. You will be self-motivated and comfortable working within a fast-paced environment. The ability to support with key IFRS technical papers for statutory audit is desirable but not essential.
This role is primarily office based and only applicants who are available at short notice will be considered.
