Rutherford Cross is working with an organisation centrally based in Glasgow with an admirable and highly prestigious name in their sector. Due to a period of maternity they are looking to add a Reporting Manager to their team for a period of up to 15 months who will be responsible for Financial Reporting and Tax and Treasury. With responsibility for a small team some key aspects of this job will include:
- Responsible for the annual statutory accounts – ensuring prepared on time and compliance with relevant financial reporting standards
- Ensure appropriate control frameworks are in place to prevent financial loss and ensure processes and procedures are diligent
- Treasury management including managing relationships with banks, fund managers and managing cashflow forecast
- Responsible for all tax compliance and filing requirements
- Management and development of a small team
This role will require a fully qualified accountant - CA/ACCA/CIMA who is skilled in preparing and overseeing financial accounts and up to date with relevant financial standards. A working knowledge of Tax and Treasury is important as well as experience of working in a large and complex organisation. Previous experience of managing a team is also essential. This is a Senior role which will require extensive interaction with various contacts across the organisation so the ability to influence and use interpersonal skills effectively is key.
