Interim Management Accountant job (Hybrid) with a leading Glasgow based organisation for an initial 3-month period.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing junior team members’ journals and other reporting outputs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Processing monthly journal and accruals based on information requests from Business Analysts, divisional CFO, FDs, and other senior stakeholders, involving critically assessing each request and ensuring adequate back-up and approvals
• Producing monthly analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders including revenue analysis, client detail analysis and variance analysis to budget and prior year on P&L
• Producing and reviewing ad hoc income reporting as requested by divisional CFO and assisting to establish key reporting outputs for senior stakeholder
• Query resolution
• Ad hoc project work to support with implementation of new systems and processes
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations prepared by junior team members
• Assisting and supporting in response to external and internal audit requests
• Liaising with offshore processing team to review entries in the data warehouse and other outputs

To apply, you will be a Qualified Accountant able to demonstrate sound technical accounting knowledge within a large complex environment. The ideal candidate will have good people management skills and a flexible attitude to dealing with multiple tasks at once. Advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail are key for this role. US GAAP and revenue recognition experience would be desirable but is not essential. This role offers hybrid working.
