Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working in partnership with a high-growth business based in East Dunbartonshire to appoint a Management Accountant on an interim basis for an initial period of 12-months.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing management accounts
• Supporting the head of finance in the delivery of the monthly reporting packs to parent company
• Completing of month end balance sheet reconciliations within prescribed timelines
• Processing general ledger transactions, including accruals and prepayments
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns and monthly CIS returns
• Maintaining fixed asset register
• Creating and processing bank payments and bank reconciliations
• Managing cash book and general ledger
• Monthly reconciliations between operational system and accounting system
• Analysing department margins alongside department heads
• Supplier statement reconciliations, new supplier take on checks
• Weekly and monthly stock counts
• Ad hoc duties

The Ideal Candidate:

• Part Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’
• Experience preparing accounts to trial balance
• Ability to prioritise and manage deadlines with time management skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
• Ability to develop internal relationships within the role
• Willing to adopt a can-do approach
• Skilled in Excel
