Interim Management Accountant job with our valued Glasgow-based client for an initial 12-month period.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts
• Analysing financial performance and providing commentary on variances to budget including balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring timely and accurate completion of month-end processes
• Assisting with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and working papers including liaison with external auditors
• Liaising with internal audit as required
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Identifying any process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team
• Supporting the finance manager with ad hoc projects and analysis as required

The Individual:

• Part Qualified Accountant (e.g., ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Financial / Management Accountant or a similar position
• Charity SORP experience desirable
