Interim Finance Manager job (Hybrid) with a Glasgow based SME for an initial 6-month period, reporting to the CFO.

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Producing monthly management accountants
• Preparing the annual audit pack, coordinating audit and preparing statutory accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintaining and reporting quarterly cash flow forecast
• Maintaining purchase ledger and supplier payment runs
• Payroll processing and compliance with HMRC
• Preparing VAT returns
• Acting as the key contact for external stakeholders including HMRC, Banking Providers, Auditors, Landlords, HR, and other critical suppliers
• Providing HR Admin support for all areas of the business
• Ongoing monitoring and improvement of processes and efficiency within the finance function
• Supporting with the development of the wider finance function and objective setting
• Ad hoc support with commercial and operational duties as required

To apply, you will be a Qualified Accountant or time-served individual with demonstrated experience as Finance Manager or Head of Finance within a small, ‘hands on’ finance function.

The ideal candidate will strive for accuracy and possess strong attention to detail. You will be an excellent communicator and strive to build solid relationships at all levels across various departments. Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of ERP systems are key for this role.

There is potential for this contract to be extended or made permanent with a possible future promotion for the right candidate. This role offers a hybrid working model.
