Rutherford Cross is working with a growing SME based in Glasgow to appoint an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support the business during an important phase of development and growth. This is a part-time role for an initial 6-month period, working 3 or 4 days per week. The successful candidate will manage the finance function, ensure accurate reporting and oversee one Finance Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of day-to-day finance operations
• Produce monthly management accounts with clear commentary and insight
• Cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Improve financial visibility, profitability and cost control
• Strengthen financial governance, controls, and reporting
• Support margin analysis and business level performance
• Liaise with external accountants and advisors
• Line manage Finance Assistant
• Support acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration

Requirements:

• ACCA/CIMA/ICAS (or equivalent)
• Proven experience as a Finance Manager within an SME environment
• Strong accounting, reporting and Excel skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience improving finance processes and governance
• Available at short notice
