Interim Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business, operating as part of a wider international group. This is a hands-on and operational role suited to a proactive self-starter who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and taking ownership of the finance function.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the full accounting activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and timely delivery of key management information to the wider group.

This role is hybrid, being on-site three days per week in the East of Edinburgh, and can also be offered on a part-time basis. The role will offer £300 per day via umbrella and is a 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the full accounting function of the company
• Accounts Payable postings and management of supplier payments
• Bank postings and bank reconciliations
• Accounts Receivable reconciliations and oversight of customer balances
• Management and reconciliation of deferred income
• Month-end close and reporting, ensuring deadlines are met
• Preparation of KPI and financial reporting for the wider group
• Posting and reconciliation of salary payroll journals
• Support operational teams with financial insight and reporting
• Maintain accurate records and ensuring compliance with group processes

About You:

• Experienced Finance Manager or Senior Accountant with strong end-to-end accounting knowledge
• Hands-on, proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, operational business environment
• Strong Sage experience
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyse and present financial data
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
