Description
Interim Finance Manager job (Hybrid) with a Glasgow-based non-profit organisation for a 4-5-month period.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

Preparing monthly management accounts in accordance with reporting timescales, including monthly journals and the preparation of forecasts to year-end

Preparing year-end accounts and ensuring statutory financial reporting for audit in line with SORP and FRS102

Assisting the Finance Director with the preparation of the annual budget

Regularly reviewing finance policies and control procedures

Ensuring all financial records and systems are in accordance with accounting principles and auditing standards

Supporting with system implementations or upgrades as required

Providing Senior Management with timely and accurate financial information, including offering recommendations, training and support to budget holders

Reviewing the bank reconciliation process

Preparing and maintain an asset register

Leading on payroll

Preparing budget proposals

Monitoring cash, working capital and capital spend

Liaising with external auditors and Board in support of preparation of annual report and audited accounts

Supervising Finance staff

Overseeing all restricted funds, including the monthly reconciliation of all restricted fund accounts
Applications are welcome from Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ finance professionals, ideally with experience in the preparation of charity accounts and knowledge of SORP. The ideal candidate will produce monthly management accounts to a high standard and have good budgeting and forecasting experience. Prior management and supervision experience is desirable, but not essential. Salary: c£35,000 - £40,000 p.a. or equivalent day rate. This role supports hybrid working.
