Rutherford Cross is working with a business based in Glasgow who are looking to add a Finance Shared Services Manager to their team for a fixed period of 12 months. This is an excellent opportunity to take on managing a Transaction Finance Team and contribute to the success of the business at what is going to be a very important time for them. This role is wide ranging and includes a variety of tasks from team management and overseeing accurate accounting and reporting to developing strong relationships with other business functions and making recommendations to optimise business opportunities while minimising risk. A summary of some of the key duties are below:

• Managing accounting and reporting for Order to Cash, P2P and Cash for the Group
• Ensuring accurate accounting for each area and month end close for the Group
• Co-ordination of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Supporting FP&A team by providing required historical information
• Work with the Risk & Controls Manager ensuring the correct controls are in place
• Provide VAT and Tax information to the Tax manager

For this role the company are seeking a fully qualified accountant with experience in producing accurate management and statutory accounts. Previous experience of managing a transactional team and also business partnering with areas out with finance are key. Strong analytical skills are important as well as being able to problem solve. Ideally you will be coming from a larger business background. On offer is a highly competitive salary and a long term contract role.
