Interim Finance Director job with our Glasgow based client who are in the construction sector for an initial 6 month period. This role could develop into a permanent opportunity.
Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for:
- Leading, managing and developing the finance team with responsibility for preparation of monthly management accounts and production of annual statutory accounts
- Provide strategic advice and financial reports to the Board
- Reporting to the Board on the performance of key objectives for the business
- Lead on business planning for the next financial year and beyond
- Developing business and financial plans in line with strategic objectives
- Lead on the annual statutory accounts process and liaison with external auditors
- Provision of commercial analysis to the leadership team explaining variances from budgeted performance
- Drive ongoing improvements in processes and procedures alongside continuous development of reporting for the business
To apply, it is essential that you are a qualified accountant with experience in the delivery of a finance service at a strategic level. You will also have a track record of leading high performing finance teams. A background in the construction sector would be advantageous but not essential. You will also be experienced in operational and commercial finance and have a track record of driving change and improvement from previous roles. Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 p.a. plus benefits or day rate equivalent.
