Rutherford Cross is working with a well-known organisation to recruit an Interim Commercial Accountant for a short contract based in Stirling. The post-holder will be business-focused, highly analytical and aware of the commercial and risk environment in which the organisation operates. In addition to traditional accounting strengths, strong commercial awareness and the ability to challenge stakeholders are highly desirable qualities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts for designated areas on a timely and accurate basis. Interpret variances from a financial, business and delivery perspective, taking into account business risk factors, materiality and revenue recognition principles
• Work with designated areas to produce their in-year forecasts, annual budgets and long-term plans, ensuring they are aligned with targets for revenue, cost and contribution
• Undertake investment appraisal and financial modelling of new business propositions
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, keeping abreast of new initiatives to understand how they influence financial performance and impact strategic objectives

To apply, you will be part-qualified or have full membership of a CCAB accounting body (CA / ACCA / CIMA). The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in providing finance business partnering or equivalent within a commercial environment, as well as building relationships across all levels of an organisation. The salary for this role is up to £54,000 (depending on experience) and also comes with excellent benefits.
