Interim Assistant Finance Business Partner

Interim Assistant Finance Business Partner job (Hybrid) with an established Glasgow headquartered organisation for a 12-month period.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

• Developing a deep knowledge of diverse business areas, their needs, and priorities, looking at the bigger picture to make sure that the business understands the financial implications of decisions and available choices
• Supporting the Finance Business Partners in producing accurate periodic financial information in line with company accounting policies to their respective directorates in the form of a reporting pack with a full commentary on the financial performance each period along with initiative tracking
• Preparing data and information for the Business Partners to enable the development of the annual budget, business plan and other statistical / statutory information
• Identifying and analysing areas of costs to the business on a regular basis, providing options to FBPs for review
• Closely liaising with the business to ensure any future changes are incorporated within the quarterly forecast and annual budget and business plan submissions
• Supporting the FBP’s with all periodic reconciliations related to their respective directorates. Ensuring all are completed in a timely basis and adequate supporting information is provided
• Assisting the Financial Planning Manager and Business Partners with any ad hoc requests or project work
• Building financial and commercial awareness of non-finance staff within the business

The Individual:

• Part Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’
• 2 years of experience within a finance or strategy role
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• A high level of competence in budget management, planning and forecasting
