Description

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be exclusively partnered with a global premium drinks business in Lanarkshire to appoint the newly created role of Group Travel Manager. Reporting to the CFO, this represents a fantastic opportunity to join a globally recognised brand.

Role Purpose

To develop, deliver and manage an in-house travel management service which supports the full breadth of the Company’s global requirements.

Accountabilities

  • Manage the implementation of global Company travel policies approved by the Executive Board, ensuring adherence throughout the business
  • Ensure that processes are in place to maintain adherence to global travel policies and that workflow and approval management align with these policies
  • Manage the Company travel insurance requirements in conjunction with the Group Finance team, ensuring appropriate coverage and value for money
  • Cultivate relationships with key travel vendors, including airlines, hotel groups, and ground transport providers, in partnership with local Business Support teams
  • Develop and operate a centralised 24/7 travel support system, covering all aspects of travel from booking to expense recording
  • Implement a 24/7 traveller support service during trips, including real-time tracking of traveller locations and emergency contact capabilities, collaborating closely with the Crisis Management team
  • Design and manage travel reporting, encompassing adherence to policies, cost analysis, CSR reporting related to travel, and other requested analyses
  • Proactively identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities in collaboration with business teams

The Individual

  • Ability to work with autonomy and manage workload
  • Experience in analysing and displaying information to aid decision-making
  • Previous experience creating and updating corporate travel policies
