Description

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be partnering with a leading, family-owned construction business based in Stirlingshire to recruit for the newly created position of Group Finance Manager.

Reporting to an experienced and highly respected Group Financial Controller, this is a rare opportunity to join a highly successful organisation in a broad and impactful role, offering significant exposure to leadership and a wide range of responsibilities.

Ideally, we are seeking to engage with newly/recently qualified accountants (ICAS, ACCA, or CIMA) from big 4/mid-tier firms seeking a first move into industry. This represents a rare opportunity for a first mover to join a large business in a role that offers people management, breadth of responsibility and progression opportunities. Applications are also welcome from individuals currently working in industry who are looking for a fresh challenge.

This position offers valuable exposure to group-wide financial reporting and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the monthly financial reporting process
  • Lead involvement in the group’s annual external audit and preparation of statutory accounts
  • Cashflow management, including consolidation and reporting of the group’s weekly cashflow forecasts
  • Ensure strong internal financial controls and a robust control environment across group entities
  • Support the preparation and consolidation of the group budget
  • Oversee group treasury operations
  • Manage day-to-day transactional finance activity across the group
  • Ensure compliance with all tax obligations, including Corporate Tax, VAT, P11D, and PSA
  • Oversee financial management of insurance, rebates, and recharges
  • Provide financial modelling and commercial support
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis as required
