Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a hugely successful global business, based on the outskirts of Glasgow to appoint an FP&A Manager. This role is responsible for providing reliable data and financial analysis to be used in decision-making and planning throughout the business. In addition, the position will ensure
there is robust challenge of actual and forecast costs to drive continuous cost improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Dive deeply into financial data to provide meaningful insights
  • Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business area / function leads
  • Support business areas in the preparation of investment business cases including discounted cash flows
  • Support and coordinate the annual budgeting, monthly and quarterly reforecasting process, working closely with the Finance Manager
  • Providing forecast project and long-term service contract revenue and margin information for quarterly forecasts, monthly rolling forecasts and annual budget process; including the liaison with the bids/commercial team for ‘to win’ projects
  • Review and develop reporting tools to improve quality of decision-making and drive efficiency within the team, maximizing the use of the ERP system and related tools
  • Escalating cost control issues for resolution in a timely manner
  • Collating financial information for regular reporting (e.g., monthly PMR dashboards, weekly product dashboards, flash revenue reports etc.) according to reporting deadlines
  • Preparing ad-hoc finance reports to meet the needs of key stakeholders
  • Supporting business wide project cost improvement activities
  • Complete additional relevant duties/task as assigned by the Finance Director
