Rutherford Cross is working with a highly successful family-owned organisation to recruit for the role of Financial Controller. This role reports into the Finance Director and offers a varied role covering all aspects of financial control while managing a small and highly experienced team. The role is offering hybrid working with offices based 10 minutes outside the city centre.

A summary of some of the key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts and board reports
• Preparing and reviewing short and long-term forecasts
• Preparing and reviewing weekly cash forecasts
• Cashflow management
• Assisting with the preparation of the business plan
• Managing the annual audit process and preparation of Statutory Accounts
• Financial Analysis and credit checks
• Ensuring compliance with tax legislation e.g. CIS, CT, VAT and IR35
• Overseeing management of the Finance Team ensuring all ledgers are maintained and key reporting deadlines are achieved
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and working closely with the Finance Team to identify process improvements and operational consistency
• Assisting with ad hoc projects in the company and wider construction group of companies

For this role, the business is seeking a qualified accountant with experience leading a team, strong attention to detail and ability to deliver business process improvements.
