Financial Controller

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a leading construction, infrastructure and support services business to appoint a Financial Controller.  This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified accountant with relevant sector experience to join a company with an excellent reputation for providing development opportunities and varied exposure.

Responsibilities Include:

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and ad hoc management information requirements
• Preparation and review of monthly profit and cash forecasts
• Preparation and review of weekly cash forecasts
• Cashflow management
• Preparation and review of annual budgets
• Attendance at monthly Contract Review and Board Meetings
• Ensuring Divisional IR35, VAT and CIS compliance
• Approval of payments to supplier and subcontractors
• Assistance in ad hoc projects across the wider construction group of companies

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years PQE
• Ability to manage, lead and motivate
• Ability to build effective working relationships / influence others
• Attention to detail
• Experience of working to tight deadlines
• Experience of identifying and delivering business process improvements
