Rutherford Cross is working exclusively with an established SME business, based in Glasgow city centre, seeking to recruit a Financial Controller.  The position encompasses a range of financial duties and requires an individual who takes a hands on approach, capable of producing monthly management accounts and drafting financial statements, whilst willing to processing invoices during busy periods.  The role will provide exposure to treasury management, preparing management information and development of policies and procedures.  The Financial Controller will supervise a team of two staff, allocating workload and taking responsibility for appraisals.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

• Ownership of producing monthly management accounts and MI
• Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the financial system for the business and associated entities
• Drafting annual financial statements and regulatory returns
• Oversee credit control
• Play an active role in Senior Management meetings

Successful Candidates will possess:

• The ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels
• A pro-active approach in the development of new processes and procedures
• A willingness to act as a team player and assist with transactional tasks as required
• Qualified accountant or qualified by experience
