Background to the Opportunity

The opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accounting Manager to join our client’s Finance Team. Initially this role will be for 3 months, but is likely to go permanent. This position will report to the UKI Financial Controller.

Our client is leading Livingston-based company.

The Role

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Management of all financial accounting matters that impact the accounting team
• Co-ordinate month end close with UK and off-shore teams
• Maintain the integrity of the accounting balances, transactions and SoX control environment
• Review and approval of designated Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Review and post designated journals
• Manage the delivery of the statutory accounts process
• Liaison with internal and external auditors
• Manage the delivery of tax information as required

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Accountant
• Good working knowledge of UK GAAP - IFRS and US GAAP desirable
• Experience preparing Statutory Accounts
• Self-starter with ability and willingness to address problems
