Rutherford Cross is delighted to partner with a widely respected educational body looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team.

This role is well-suited for a part-qualified accountant who will assist in delivering a streamlined and productive accounting and transactional service, and who has experience in enhancing transaction procedures.

Key duties include:

• Assist in overseeing and guiding financial accounting and transactional teams
• Manage ledgers
• Provide internal transaction process reviews
• Review and protect assets and cash
• Sustain relationships with stakeholders
• Examine and authorize payroll outputs
• Supervise expenses systems
• Assist with VAT, CT and audit compliance requirements

Experience required:

• Part-qualified accountant or qualified by experience
• Experience with payroll and VAT
• Experience in improving internal processes
• Good communication and leadership skills
• IT skills: Excel and knowledge of different finance systems
