Reporting to the UK & Europe Controller, this represents a great opportunity to join a high-calibre finance function in a broad role that offers varied operational and reporting exposure. The business has a track record of transitioning individuals from firms and developing their careers with a large majority of the function having long tenure.

Ideally, looking to engage with newly/recently qualified individuals from big 4/top 10 firms seeking a first move into the industry or alternatively, happy to consider those already in industry seeking a new challenge or a role with more operational exposure. Robust interpersonal skills and decent technical proficiency are also highly advantageous.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsibility for the financial control of all projects (new build and aftermarket), including ongoing review and challenge, forecast and actual reporting;
• Responsibility for month end closure, including posting of journals, P&L review, balance sheet review and analysis of performance against forecast and budget;
• Review of balance sheet reconciliations including liaising with the Shared Service Centre; Preparation of management information for use by the management team;
• Responsibility for VAT compliance;
• Supporting the preparation and review of quarterly forecasts and annual budget;
• Oversight of preparation of statutory accounts and managing external and internal audit requirements;
• Provide support on ad hoc projects as required
