Rutherford Cross is delighted to be appointing a Finance Manager for an investment management company. The successful candidate will supervise the financial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with agreements and managing risks and opportunities to generate returns for shareholders.

Key duties include:

• Preparing management accounts, annual budgets, and statutory accounts
• Regularly updating project financial models and performing sensitivity analyses on them as needed
• Coordinating the annual audit with the external auditors
• Coordinating with tax advisors for corporation tax compliance and VAT matters
• Preparing corporation tax computations for external advisor review
• Preparing technical accounting papers on significant accounting issues and judgments
• Representing as project or group accountant in shareholders meetings when necessary
• Ensuring efficient management of project tax affairs in alignment with the wider group's tax assets / liabilities
• Collaborating with the bookkeeping and admin team to accurately record and authorize project expenses, as well as ensure timely and precise invoicing and receipt of income
• Addressing the daily needs of funders and ensuring compliance with facility agreement requirements
• Reviewing project agreements to confirm alignment with individual agreement terms regarding costs and income
• Continuously forecast to promptly assess and escalate the financial impact of project developments to fund managers

Experience required:

• Qualified accountant
• Experience in preparing management accounts, collaborating with third parties for financial completeness
• Beneficial to have experience in financial services
• Technically strong with finance systems
