Description
Our client is an impressive market leader which has grown significantly both organically and via acquisition. They are seeking a qualified accountant to take responsibility for a key leadership role in their Head Office and require an individual with significant experience of management reporting and stock/inventory control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Management and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual stock reporting to all stakeholders
- Input and support to the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and 3 year strategic plans
- Support to weekly profit forecast process
- Provision of ad hoc reporting and analysis requirements
- Management and delivery of all information required to support statutory reporting.
- Ownership and management of all stock reconciliations and analysis
- Management and development of all existing and future stock related system requirements
- Motivate and develop the team of 15 staff, ensuring all team members have the required skills to do their jobs effectively whilst identifying and developing key individuals for future progression
- Complete annual appraisals with each direct report and ensure regular effective communication with the team by holding monthly meetings / 1:1s
To succeed in this role you will be a fully qualified accountant with appropriate post-qualification experience of a minimum of 7 years. You will possess excellent management skills along with an in-depth understanding of stock/inventory accounting within a dynamic, high volume business environment.

- Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
- Experience of leading and managing a team of qualified and non-qualified accounting professionals
- Experience of understanding and managing a high volume transactional stock process.
- Management of sizable accounting team
- Ability to interact with directors and senior management
- Strong IT skills including advanced Excel skills.
