Rutherford Cross is currently recruiting a Finance Manager for a fast paced and fluid environment with a leading organisation based in Glasgow.
The Opportunity
This is a key position within the finance team and will be responsible for ‘value adding’ across multiple functions. It requires a high calibre individual with tenacity, drive, charisma and the ability to engage with several stakeholders across the business. As such, strong communication and influencing skills are essential.

The Role
This role will require managing one individual and directly report into the Financial Controller. The successful individual will be responsible for the provision of robust and timely management information for one of the key locations within the organisation. In addition, you will continue to develop and improve the financial processes and controls.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the site P&L and Balance Sheet
- Ensure the preparation of the financial reporting requirements throughout the year including weekly forecast, month end, quarterly forecasting and Annual budget cycle
- Analysis and explanation of budget variances
- Management responsibility for the Finance Analyst
- Costing
- Accountable for full balance sheet reconciliations on a period basis with any discrepancies investigated and corrected
- Responsible for the accurate delivery of KPI reporting
- Drive effective cost control to ensure delivery of budget and set targets
- Continually develop and improve financial processes and procedures to ensure control and efficient operation
- Develop financial understanding and awareness across teams

The Candidate
The position requires a confident individual who can manage multiple stakeholders at any one time as well as introduce new ideas to improve efficiency. The successful individual needs to be ambitious and capable of taking complete ownership of outlined responsibilities.
It is essential that the individual will be a professionally qualified. The qualification can be from any recognised professional body (i.e. CA, ACCA or ACMA).
Remuneration
In addition to a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience) there are a number of benefits including a generous pension, private healthcare and bonus.
