Description

Our client is a privately owned property group that invest in high-yielding real estate in the UK. They take a long term approach to investment and development, aiming to specialise in markets where they can real value through active asset management and taking advantage of market opportunities.

The role is best suited to someone from a Big 4 background who is looking for an opportunity to develop in an entrepreneurial business with a genuine desire for growth. Candidates must have an inquisitive mind, commercial instinct and a keen interest in wider business and commerce. The role will involve ongoing engagement with property managers, asset managers, banks, insurers, and external audit and tax providers. You will be given a high degree of responsibility from an early stage and the role requires outstanding organisational, numerical and written skills with a strong attention to detail.

The business has experienced high growth year on year and plans to expand significantly in the next 12 + months and as they look to develop their offering in what is currently a relatively undeveloped sector in the Edinburgh property market. There is significant opportunity for progression in the role as the business grows with a culture of promotion from within. The role works closely with both Senior Finance Managers and will see the successful candidate engaged with a range of external partners including asset managers, property managers, banks and external audit partners.

Key skills and experience

  • Big 4 CA Qualified with up to one year PQE
  • Excellent academic track record (minimum 2:1 degree). It would be desirable to have a background in one of the following subjects: Real Estate, Economics, Law, Finance or Mathematics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A flexible approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines

  • Credibility to engage and influence at all levels with a professional manner and the ability to form good working relationships
