Rutherford Cross is seeking a high calibre Qualified Accountant for a permanent Finance Manager job working in a finance team within a market-leading organisation in Glasgow city centre. The position encompasses financial accounting, management and project reporting, decision support, preparation of budgets and forecasts, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders. The role would ideally suit a Qualified Accountant looking for their first move from the Profession.

The Opportunity:

• Prepare full monthly management reports including profit & loss and balance sheet accounts
• Preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts of income and expenditure, balance sheet and cashflow
• Attend regular meetings with budget holders to update on financial performance
• Provide financial reporting for all projects on a timely basis
• Provide completed reporting packs for submission to Board
• Undertake analysis of areas of financial risk, budget variance and business growth
• Undertake financial scenario planning and advise budget holders on mitigating actions when dealing with financial variances
• Implement and maintain appropriate financial controls in order to underpin financial governance
• Prepare year end statutory accounts
• Liaise with auditors and tax advisors, providing information as required
• Effective line management of team members
