Rutherford Cross are currently recruiting a Finance Manager for a dynamic organisation going through continued growth based in Glasgow. The company has ambitious plans and as a result this position provides someone an ideal opportunity to join a business in a board role that will see the individual managing their own team.

This is a key position within the finance team and will be responsible for ‘value adding’ across various areas. It requires a high calibre individual with tenacity, drive, charisma and the ability to be versatile. As such, strong communication and influencing skills are essential.

The Role

The newly created Finance Manger has come about as a result of a growth in the business and the need to strengthen their finance team. This will entail heading up a team and providing regular reporting on performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. This information will then be presented to the management team and used for decision making by the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engage with both the manufacturing and commercial teams

• Actively lead on the development of the team that this role will manage

• Preparation of daily, weekly, monthly Accounts for the business

• Responsible for product costing and ensure that this information is accurately reported and recorded

• Reviewing stock and control of material

• Responsible of the forecasts and budgets for the business

The Candidate

The position requires a confident individual with strong managerial experience and has excellent interpersonal ability. As this role will interface with various areas of the organisation they must be able to effectively communicate and build rapport with colleagues.

It is essential that the individual has a FMCG background and previously managed. Applicants can be either a part or fully qualified Accountant. The qualification can be from any recognised professional body (i.e. CA, ACCA or ACMA).

Remuneration

A salary of £40,0000-£45,000 per annum (depending on experience).
