Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a leading UK fund manager as they look to bring an experienced Finance Manager into their tight-knit finance team.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for producing quality financial reporting and analysis, executing and implementing financial controls, and collaborating effectively within the finance team and across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for producing financial reporting and communication
- Collaborate closely with the CFO on strategic and financial reporting
- Produce statutory accounts and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Collaborate with tax advisers to prepare annual Corporation tax returns and communicate with partners and their agents
- Prepare regulatory returns and work closely with the Risk & Compliance team to produce the annual ICARA document
- Monitor and implement changes to accounting standards as required
- Conduct cost analysis and budgeting to support financial planning
- Assist in the preparation of Management Information (MI) packs for Executive Committee members
- Perform ad hoc commercial analysis to support business decisions
- Oversee month-end processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Develop and review financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Support project work across the firm, including regulatory requirements, system upgrades, and process improvements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified accountant with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior finance role
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and statutory accounting
- Excellent industry knowledge
- Experience in tax compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Package and Remuneration:
- Salary up to £85,000 DOE
