Finance Business Partner – Lanarkshire – £Competitive DOE

Rutherford Cross are delighted to exclusively partner again with one of our key clients within the FMCG space to appoint a Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the Head of Business Partnering, this represents a great opportunity to join a household name brand a commercially focused finance role that offers broad exposure and career development.

Ideally, we are looking to engage with commercially focused accountants, it would be highly advantageous for an individual to have experience within the FMCG/Manufacturing/Consumer Goods sectors. Happy to consider Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ICAS)/Part-qualified/QBE provided the experience is relevant to the above.

The role itself will work within the group finance team and will be responsible for the production, provision, and analysis of daily, weekly, and period MI to the business for all costs to GM & overhead levels. Through close business partnering across various operational functions, the role will understand / challenge the drivers of performance to continually maximise financial performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Timely and accurate production of weekly & period management accounts across business units
  • Undertake regular site visits
  • Identify and measure key success drivers & provide variance analysis to operational and commercial teams
  • Develop and progress site/business budgets and forecasts with key stakeholders and ensure commercial and operational reporting include budgetary comparison and commentary
  • Provide financial support to commercial managers on the preparation of product cost / tender processes / performance reviews
  • Monitor and reconcile stock movements across sites whilst ensuring accuracy on ERP system
  • Contribute and provide financial support to ad hoc projects, as required
  • Identify and develop process improvements that can be made
  • As a team provide cover for holidays and sickness, when required
