Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to exclusively partner with a well-known FMCG brand to appoint a newly created Finance Business Partner role. Reporting to the head of function and working within the group finance team, this role will be responsible for producing, providing, and analysing daily, weekly, and periodic management information for all costs related to GM and overhead levels. Through close collaboration with various operational functions, the role will seek to understand and challenge performance drivers to continually enhance financial outcomes.
This opportunity has been created following a significant acquisition. My client has experienced substantial growth in recent years, with double-digit year-on-year revenue increases since 2019. Therefore, this represents an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful business, to take full ownership of the financials for the newly acquired site and to partner with senior leaders to drive business success.
We are particularly interested in connecting with part-qualified, qualified by experience, or recently qualified individuals who possess operational finance experience, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment, though other backgrounds will also be considered. Please note that this role requires significant year-round travel to the site. We are eager to engage with outgoing individuals who have a personable nature and are comfortable interacting with senior leadership and operational stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Timely and accurate production of weekly and periodic management accounts across business units
- Conduct regular site visits (weekly during peak season)
- Identify and measure key success drivers and provide variance analysis to operational and commercial teams
- Develop and progress site/business budgets and forecasts with key stakeholders, ensuring that commercial and operational reporting includes budgetary comparisons and commentary
- Provide financial support to commercial managers on product cost preparation, tender processes, and performance reviews
- Monitor and reconcile stock movements across sites, ensuring accuracy in the ERP system
- Contribute to and provide financial support for ad hoc projects as needed
- Identify and develop potential process improvements
