Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a global drinks business in central Glasgow to appoint a Finance Business Partner. Reporting directly to the Divisional Head of Finance, this represents a superb opportunity for a suitably qualified accountant to join a household name brand in a genuinely commercially focused role. This role offers a high degree of flexibility, exposure to senior leadership and routes for career development as our client has a demonstrable track record of developing staff.
Ideally, we are looking to engage with qualified accountants (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) who have 1-4 years post-qualified experience in the commercial industry. We are open to engaging with those still in practice or without ‘partnering’ experience in industry, but these individuals must be able to display that they can influence stakeholders and build relationships with non-finance stakeholders.
The role itself will support the Head of Finance & Operations Director in driving an understanding of the business unit and support delivering on a significant change agenda. The focus of this position will be forecasting, reporting, analysis and partnering across the UK. There is a desire from leadership for this position to control cost base, provide commercial analysis & insight and ‘challenge the norm’ at every opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the budgeting/forecasting, analysis and business partnering with key stakeholders including the Operations Director & Depot Managers
- Be a key support for the CS&L team, providing insight on the KPIs and variance to forecast/budget and last year, with a focus on the cost base
- Producing and analysing monthly KPI reports to identify anomalies and issues and provide recommendations to improve profitability
- Investigating current ways of working, writing executive summaries to inform key stakeholders and suggesting ways to improve/streamline processes and controls
- Identifying business trends and providing solutions to improve the current position
- Accountable for budgeting and forecasting work
- Providing ad hoc analysis for stakeholders, highlighting issues and recommending remedial action
- Developing dashboard reporting and management information
- Allocating workload to analyst resources in collaboration with Commercial Finance Manager colleagues
