Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a well-respected Public Sector organisation in order to recruit a Finance Business Partner. This role offers the opportunity to gain great exposure and has excellent organisational progression pathways. On offer is a salary of up to £47k (dependent on experience), with hybrid working and an exceptional holiday allowance and pension package.

The Finance Business Partner will take a lead role in providing a professional financial management support service to the Directors in all aspects of financial activity. This will include management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, as well as providing financial advice and guidance to improve financial performance.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide accurate, timely and clear management information including financial performance, strategic financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Fully support the Business Partnering team in the financial management of the organisation’s services
• Provide expert and strategic advice and guidance to relevant stakeholders
• Undertake financial analysis and due diligence assessment of new initiatives
• Identify areas of potential financial efficiency, through objective financial review and challenge
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement
• Other duties as required

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified accountant, or equivalent gained through wide-ranging relevant experience
• Demonstrable experience of management accounting, financial planning, budget preparation and financial procedures
• Significant cost and income allocation and capital accounting experience in a large organisation.
• Experience working in a financially large and complex organisation
• Considerable experience of budgeting, forecasting and reporting for significant areas of a business
• Proven track record of developing and securing excellent business relationships
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communicator
