Role Overview:
As a Finance Analyst, you will be an integral part of our finance team, reporting directly to the Corporate Services Manager. Working in a collaborative environment you will be responsible for various finance-related tasks, supporting the continued success and growth.
Responsibilities and Main Accountabilities:
- Efficiently process and manage purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures
- Conduct reconciliations of supplier statements to maintain accurate financial records
- Take ownership of analyzing and coordinating purchase orders, providing valuable insights to optimize procurement processes
- Review cash flow and borrowing requirements, contributing to the effective financial management of the organisation
- Review purchase order coding, providing user training to ensure adherence to correct procedures
- Responsibly handle and manage supplier queries, fostering positive relationships with vendors
- Produce supplier payment reports with insightful commentary to facilitate decision-making
- Manage and maintain the aged creditor report, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and manage reporting on payment practices and performance metrics
- Support month-end processes, contribute to system implementations, and undertake additional duties as required
The Individual:
- Experience working in a finance team
- Must have excellent IT skills and be competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proven ability to work well as part of a team
- Demonstrable time management skills
- Growth mindset with strong social skills
- Ideally, the candidate will have prior accounts payable experience
- Experience working in an FMCG environment is desirable, but not essential
- The right person for the role will enjoy working in a very fast-paced office environment, relish the fact that no two days are ever the same, and be able to pay great attention to detail
