Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with an exciting drinks business, based in Glasgow city centre, to recruit a Finance Analyst. This is an exceptional opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to join a growing business with a portfolio of successful brands.
Key duties include:
- Providing timely and accurate analysis and support to key decision-making
- Monthly cost of goods sold and Capex analysis, working closely with the Production Management team and Accounts department
- Regular forecasting and budgeting support, ensuring bottom-up planning is completed with rigour and accuracy
- Overhead review, tracking & analysis
- Design, improvement, and development of reporting, forecasting and management information tools, ensuring consistency and accessibility
- Ad Hoc support to the Controlling team with brand investment and pricing analysis
- Partner closely with Production director, Bottling Hall manager and Head Distiller, ensuring that cost components of the production costs are closely monitored, controlled and reported
- Responsibility for the monthly Production Reporting and analysis for HQ
- Developing appropriate tools, analysis and processes to increase visibility and accuracy of reporting.
- Be pro-active in engaging and explaining financial concepts to non-finance individuals
Candidate requirements:
- Newly Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACCA/ ICAS)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with an ability to work to tight deadlines
- Highly numerate with strong financial acumen and business partnering skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders; Operations, Supply Chain, Brand, Design etc
- Comfortable in a fast paced and dynamic working environment
- Motivated with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to challenge and influence colleagues and stakeholders
- Ability to travel
On offer:
Salary: £35,000
Bonus: between 7-11% of salary
Pension: 9% non-contributory pension

34 days annual leave inclusive of stats
38 hours per week
