Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnering with a Scottish Charity to appoint a permanent Credit Controller. The position is based at the company's HQ in central Glasgow; however, the company itself has a national footprint.

The role would be well suited to a candidate who has previous experience in Credit Control.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

• Managing own portfolio of accounts to ensure timely collection of debtor balances within agreed payment terms (telephone, email, letters)
• Reducing aged debt
• Maintaining accurate customer information
• Data management of incoming payments
• Managing generic team mailboxes
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
• Weekly collection reports
• Month-end reporting
• Posting and allocating customer receipts
• Daily bank account reconciliations
• Ensuring any reconciling items are investigated and cleared in a timely manner
• Posting monthly accruals and prepayment journals

Experience:

• Strong communication skills
• Previous experience in debt collection / credit control
