Recruiting on behalf of a leading values driven accountancy firm. Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a forward thinking, people centred professional services firm in the search for a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for Corporation Tax who is looking to further their career within a progressive and supportive environment.

The firm prides itself on delivering high quality, tailored service to its clients and is experiencing continued growth across its Corporate Tax function. As part of this expansion, the firm is looking to appoint a driven and capable individual to join the team based in Dunfermline, operating on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit Corporate Tax computations and CT600s
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and support their day to day tax needs
  • Handle routine tax queries and provide clear, practical advice
  • Complete routine advisory work under the guidance of senior leadership
  • Calculate client tax liabilities and prepare reconciliation statements
  • Review tax returns prepared by the Accounts Advisory team
  • Attend client and prospect meetings where required
  • Identify opportunities to add value and improve client outcomes
  • Collaborate with regional corporate tax teams on more complex matters
  • Support general client administration and compliance processes

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Currently working towards ACA/CTA qualification
  • Strong technical tax knowledge with the ability to apply it in practice
  • Proactive in understanding legislative changes and client impacts
  • Committed to continuous professional development
  • Capable of delegating work to junior team members and reviewing outputs
  • Ensures high technical standards and risk appropriate working practices
  • Confident seeking guidance when needed to ensure quality and accuracy
