Description
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a Private Equity backed organisation based in central Glasgow to recruit for the role of Corporate Finance Manager. The Corporate Finance Manager is a newly created role, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Finance.
The role is required to support the Head of Corporate Finance with the financing of capital projects, treasury / liquidity management, and other strategic initiatives as the business continues to scale.
The Corporate Finance Manager will be accountable for preparing various day-to-day deliverables that feed into both shareholder and lender reporting. This will allow the Head of Corporate Finance to focus on critical review rather than preparation of the deliverables, enabling more engagement and focus on investor relations and external reporting responsibilities.
This position will be highly visible in the business, offering high levels of exposure to senior-level stakeholders. The role will require a highly capable individual who will display ambition to grow with the business over time.
A summary of some of the key duties are below:
- Maintaining an up-to-date Capex Tracker, liaising with Group Property & Group Finance teams as required
- Owning the preparation of supporting information for funding requests submitted to shareholders and banks
- Preparing accurate cash flow forecasts
- Preparing monthly bank reporting packs
- Preparing weekly Capex Overview
- Owning the Risk Register to ensure all actions and updates are captured
- Supporting the business with insurance claims, ensuring regular correspondence is maintained with insurance brokers regarding the status of claims
- Desktop research in support of counterparty credit assessments, e.g. new leases
- Delivering ad hoc financial analysis as requested by Head of Corporate Finance from time to time
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant by training, highly proactive and keen to develop their experience within a hugely ambitious and scaling organisation. The role will be wide-ranging, and remit can be influenced by the candidate’s previous experience and ability. Cashflow forecasting is a hugely important task for this role, and high levels of accuracy are essential.
The appointed candidate will need to be highly competent in this area and able to present accurate financials to stakeholders. A background in capital raising (equity or debt finance) and / or property investment would be highly advantageous, as well as having some exposure to treasury management.
