Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with one of Edinburgh’s biggest names, currently seeking a Commercial Analyst to join their team. Due to continued growth, this role will support revenue decision-making, whilst also building relationships with a range of key stakeholders.

This role is best suited to an analytically driven individual with a passion for adding value and working well within a team. It is important to have commercial acumen along with the ability to make decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regular reporting of performance across the commercial offering, providing insight into key performance drivers
  • Taking ownership of the annual budget and five-year planning processes, working with senior stakeholders to agree on key assumptions and collaborating closely with the Finance team to produce outputs in line with agreed timelines
  • Creating and maintaining rolling forecasts of full-year revenue outturn based on current performance
  • Surface access dashboard developing and maintaining the dashboard, working closely with a range of external parties
  • Collaborating with the Finance team to ensure the billing of business partners is up-to-date and accurate
  • Proactively identifying new tools and resources to enhance analytical insight and support performance management

Experience Required:

  • Hands-on experience in an analytical role within a commercial context
  • Degree in an analytical subject (e.g Maths, Economics, Statistics, Accounting & Finance)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with demonstrated experience creating and maintaining Excel models
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills, with the ability to present complex numerical information in a way that is easy to digest
  • Strong communication skills, with good written and presentation skills
