Commercial Accountant

Rutherford Cross has been engaged to recruit a Commercial Accountant for a market leader in their sector. The remit of this role is to provide in-depth and wide ranging financial and commercial analysis, both routine and project based, including advanced financial modelling.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Financial Controller with investment analysis, acquisition due diligence, and projects financial control
• Evaluation and review of data generated by the business and creating, evaluating, and challenging information when appropriate
• Timely and accurate production of financial reports to provide directors and senior management team with the key information needed to assess and develop new business opportunities
• Modelling of monthly out-turn forecast, annual budget and business plan in conjunction with senior finance team

Candidate:

• Fully Qualified Accountant
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills essential
• Strong analytical capability
• Solid knowledge of day to day accounting
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a confident ability to discuss and communicate results of analysis to senior managers and directors
• Act as a business partner whilst working alongside non-finance peers
• Able to work well under pressure and manage rapidly changing priorities
