Rutherford Cross is delighted to be partnered with a fast-growing financial services specialist, now looking for a Client Accountant to join their team.

This role is well-suited for a part-qualified accountant who is keen to be a part of a rapidly growing company and contribute to its exceptional service for a diverse range of clients specifically in private equity. Furthermore, it is most suitable for an ambitious individual, as the company actively provides and encourages personal and career growth.

Key duties include:

  • Provide accurate and timely quarterly management accounts and forecasts for clients
  • Coordinate with fund managers on investor capital calls and drawdowns
  • Provide and communicate fund drawdown, equalisation and distribution calculations
  • Prepare Statutory Trust, Small Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Limited Partnership accounts, and communicate with different stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations, client invoices, expense reports and payment authorisation prepared
  • Provide appropriate challenges to clients and auditors to ensure good governance and best practices for fund accountants
  • Operate, maintain and develop procedures, practices and systems to effectively control the client side of the business, ensuring adequate documentation

Experience required:

  • Part-qualified accountant who is eager to gain further qualification
  • Background in technical accounting would be beneficial
  • Background in preparing management accounts
  • Software experience in Excel, Word, Investrand and Sage Line 50
