Description

Eurofins Digital Testing is a global leader in end-to-end Quality Assurance (QA) and cyber security. Eurofins work with key high-technology businesses in consumer electronics, software development, automotive, IoT, connected health and media markets. The company is operating a network of test labs in the USA, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, India and China and has around 700 employees.

Eurofins Digital Testing was part of Eurofins Scientific SE, a stock exchange rated company (Euronext Paris CAC40). It was decided to divest the company to enable Eurofins Scientific SE to focus on the core business of laboratory activities. In December 2022, Eurofins Digital Testing was sold to Stirling Square Capital Partners, a London based PE with high ambition to implement an aggressive buy-and build strategy. The company will operate under a new brand in 2023.

Eurofins Digital Testing UK is active in System, Device testing and Cyber Security at 4 main locations across the country, operating with 300 highly skilled staff.

The Role

Reporting directly into the Global CFO and UK Managing Director, as well as managing a team of three, this position will work with a range of key stakeholders, as well as take ownership of multiple finance duties including:

  • Be the Business Partner of Managing Director of UK companies of Eurofins Digital and Cyber Security Testing
  • In close cooperation with the Shared Support Centre (SSC) in BE, be responsible for monthly and quarterly financial management reporting of the UK region and its business units, explaining main variances in P&L, Net working capital, Capex and all other relevant financial matters
  • Get a strong understanding of the business situation and make the bridge between business and finance
  • Business Partner for SSC for non-recurrent and material financial matters (such as IT solutions, reporting processes)
  • Manage local finance teams in charge of the O2C process and support where needed
  • Make an analysis of and alert on deviations between actuals and budgets, challenge the business solutions to bridge gaps and monitor the action plans taken
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for the Management team (Managing Director(s), global CFO and global CEO)
  • Strong implication in the budget process of the business line and be fully responsible of the coordination of the budget process and the forecasting exercises
  • Monitor and control compliance of spending & contracting authorities
  • Support local finance and admin in NWC and Treasury management
  • Ad hoc project management, including the implementation of Finance IT systems
  • Facilitate between the local Managing Directors/ Presidents and Shared Service Centres (Finance, Legal, Tax, Payroll)
  • Responsible for local tax and legal compliance, supported by external tax and legal advisors
  • Advisory role in M&A transactions and coordinate Post-M&A integration into the business line

The Individual

  • Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Relevant experience working in a Business Controller/ Financial Controller capacity
  • Technical knowledge IT: MS Office products with advanced level in Excel
  • Strong knowledge of business processes
  • Experience with different Finance IT Solutions tools such as ERP-tools, PSA-tools, BI-tools, reporting-tools; AX/GP (Microsoft)
  • Willing to take ownership of duties from top level reporting to more granular management accounting, as well as ownership of external parties
  • Strong knowledge of business processes
  • Knowledge UK GAAP/IFRS
  • Basic knowledge UK Tax
  • Basic knowledge UK corporate legal
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) any other European languages would be advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. oral and written communication skills, presentation skills) as this role will interface with leaders of the Group as well as local resources and experts
  • Proven change management and influencing skills Strong flexibility & communication
  • Strong analytical skills, focus on adding value
  • Strong problem-solver with “can-do” mentality, able to both pragmatically define solutions and capture and understand all relevant details
