Description

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with an established, growing FMCG business based in Glasgow for a Business Analyst. This represents an exciting opportunity to drive profitability by introducing, improving and implementing new financial data analytics.

The ideal candidate will likely be a part-qualified accountant with experience working on process improvements. To complement the vision of the senior management, experience in interpreting complex data and driving insights to aid strategic decisions would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle and make sense of conflicting data from various sources
  • Develop and maintain Excel models for planning, forecasting, and analysis
  • Translate data into meaningful insights to inform business strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions
  • Understand commercial aspects and contribute to business growth through margin analysis
  • Communicate financial and operational insights to all levels within the organisation
  • Collaborate with technical teams and represent finance-related aspects

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Analyse sales data, discounts, and return on investment (ROI) for promotions
  • Model sales forecasts and individual performance
  • Evaluate overhead costs and financial implications
  • Ad hoc account

Qualifications:

  • Qualified / part-qualified accountant (an advantage but not essential)
  • Strong Excel skills and experience in using automation tools such as, but not limited to, PowerBI
