Description

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be partnered with a growing, PE-backed business to appoint an Assistant Management Accountant.

This is a newly created role in order to support the Management Accounting team based in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a Part-Qualified accountant or recent accountancy graduate to get hands on accounting experience working in a high-performing team, whilst studying towards their professional accountancy qualification. The business will offer full study support for the successful individual and an excellent training and development programme.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the management accounting team with preparation of the monthly management accounts for various group entities
  • Assisting the management accounting team with the management of the fixed asset register
  • Assisting the management accounting team with balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations
  • Assisting the management accounting team with IFRS 16 leases
  • Liaise with auditors
  • Liaise with the business partnering team and other stakeholders within the business to understand and improve operational processes
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

The Individual:

  • Accountancy graduate or Part-Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Excellent team player

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications: Excel, Teams, Outlook etc
