Assistant Financial Accounting Manager

Assistant Financial Accounting Manager job (Hybrid) with a globally recognised organisation based in Glasgow for a 12-month period.

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Reviewing Statutory Accounts
• Working closely with external Auditors and leading the coordination of the audit process
• Reviewing board reporting
• Overseeing FCA regulatory reporting
• Preparing and reviewing technical accounting papers
• Providing technical support to the Statutory Accountants
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls
• Reviewing reconciliations of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts

The Individual:

• Fully Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ICAEW, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
• UK GAAP / US GAAP experience preferable
• Experience gained within a large accounting / audit firm is desirable
• Strong technical accounting skills
• People management experience
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong communication and presentation skills
