Rutherford Cross are supporting a key client in the renewable energy sector to recruit an Accounts Payable Processor. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the company’s mission, ensuring financial operations run smoothly and efficiently and will be responsible for processing all invoices and expenses received for payment, verifying and reconciling invoices as well as for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Processing invoices, matching purchase orders to these invoices and investigating/ solving any discrepancies
- Preparation of payments which will include multi currency - BACS/Chaps/International Payments
- Make sure invoices are approved in time to meet established payment cycle
- Reconciling supplier statements and cash allocations
- Dealing with and resolving supplier queries
- Liaising with internal departments to resolve any problems with invoices
- Employee expense and credit card reporting and support
- To ensure accounts payable transactions are processed quickly, accurately within agreed SLA’s
- Processing accounts and payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with accounts payable controls, processes and procedures
Candidate’s Skill and Knowledge
- Proven experience in efficiently handling a high volume of invoices daily
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is desirable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively, meeting deadlines consistently
- Excellent communication skills for interactions with colleagues and suppliers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
